The 21st Central American and Caribbean Games took place in Mayagüez, Puerto Rico, from July 18, 2010 to August 1, 2010. A total of 5204 athletes were participating in 42 sports held all across Puerto Rico, Colombia, Guatemala, and Guyana.
Colombia finished in third place with 100 gold medals, 84 silver and 76 bronze, 260 in total. Cycling was important with 16 gold medals.
